We’ll Dance Among the Stars

Disgrace
May 22, 2023The Digital Age's Social Decline
n the world of today, with machines and screens,
We've gained convenience, but lost our means
To connect with each other, in person and face
We've become less social, in this digital space
Our phones and computers, they help us work
But they also distract, and make us shirk
The joys of conversation, of laughter and fun
We've lost touch with the world, and what needs to be done
We can talk to people, from across the globe
But what about the ones, that we used to know
Our friends and our family, they're here in our town
But we hardly see them, we're always looking down
Our social skills suffer, as we type and swipe
We forget how to listen, how to read a vibe
We've got emojis and memes, but what about smiles
And hugs and high-fives, that make life worthwhile
So let's put down our devices, and go out for a walk
Meet a friend at a cafe, have a real heart-to-heart talk
We'll find that life's richer, when we're together
Let's be more social, and make our bonds stronger forever
