Broken Arrow
February 9, 2024Whisperin' Wind
Verse
As I walk upon this path, so worn and old,
Whisperin' wind caresses my hair of gold,
Mem'ries of yesterday, they fill my heart,
Like a gentle melody, playing its part.
Chorus
Oh, Whisperin' Wind, carry me away,
To the days of youth, when skies were so gay,
In your soft embrace, let me find some solace,
In this journey of life, as I grow old and honest.
Verse
Through the seasons I have danced, with joy and pain,
In the warmth of summer sun and winter's cold rain,
Now the twilight settles, painting colors in the sky,
A symphony of life, as the days pass by.
Chorus
Oh, Whisperin' Wind, carry me away,
To the days of youth, when skies were so gay,
In your gentle touch, let me search for meaning,
In this sweet serenade, of lifetime fast receding.
Bridge
And I've seen the mountains rise, majestic and grand,
But the journey of life, ain't always like we planned,
I've stumbled and I've faltered, but I've always tried,
To live with love and laughter, from deep inside.
Verse
So, let my voice be heard, in this old folk tune,
Tellin' tales of moments, from morning to moon,
For wisdom comes with age, like gold that's refined,
And in these lines, my tale shall find.
Chorus
Oh, Whisperin' Wind, carry me away,
To the days of youth, when skies were so gay,
Guide me through the twilight, as stars up above,
And sing this folk song, about life and its love.
Outro
Oh, Whisperin' Wind, let your presence unfold,
As I embrace each moment, growing old.
