Forever In My Heart

Forbidden Love
June 17, 2024The Horizon’s Grieving Hue
The empty halls of memory, have echoes soft and faint,
Lingered whispers of yesteryears, in colors time has taint.
A tapestry of voices, once vivid, now so very far,
A constellation dimmed, each life a vanished star.
Through fleeting seasons, loved ones drift away,
Leaves falling to the earth, in an eternal ballet.
Each heartbeat fading, in time's relentless stream,
Gone to the stillness, where only shadows dream.
And now the day has come, a brother's light has waned,
A final chord of kinship, forever now restrained.
Severed from our shared past, a tether to the skies,
Silent tears trace the line where our connection lies.
In the quiet aftermath, where echoes cease to play,
I stand alone in twilight, where the night consumes the day.
The living past recedes, to the horizon’s grieving hue,
With the loss of a brother, a part of me goes too.
