Alone, That’s All
November 22, 2024
March of Progress
November 24, 2024Shadows in the Sunlight
Verse
As the years drift by like smoke,
I stand on this edge, wrapped in my cloak.
Dancing with shadows, counting the scars,
Breathing in silence beneath a thousand stars.
Chorus
Oh, the sun and the rain, they’re all just the same,
But my heart feels heavy, it’s caught in the game.
Less of my soul, caught up in the show,
Just want to break free from the ebb and flow.
Verse
The crowds gather round, but I fade to gray,
Lost in the noise, yet I’m miles away.
With faces of strangers, they pull me apart,
I’m searching for solace, just a place to start.
Chorus
Oh, the sun and the rain, they’re all just the same,
But my heart feels heavy, it’s caught in the game.
Less of my soul, caught up in the show,
Just want to break free from the ebb and flow.
Bridge
Whispers in twilight, echoes of me,
Trying to find some kind of peace,
The laughter and chaos, it grates on my bones,
So I’ll carve out silence, in the depths of my own.
Outro
As each year comes and goes, I’m learning to feel,
In this world of illusions, I’m seeking what's real.
With less of my humanity, I’ll rise from the fall,
Wrapped in my shadows, I’ll finally stand tall.
