Let ’em Talk
October 15, 2024Ode To The Alien
She drifts like a cloud in a world too loud,
An outsider in every crowded scene.
Her eyes reflect a distant, vacant gleam,
Oblivious to the rules the rest have vowed.
A puzzle in the puzzle, but missing all the clues,
She floats through life like leaves upon the air.
Not tethered to the common thread we share,
Untouched by the paths that others choose.
Whispers pass, she never hears,
Expectations fall, she never bends.
Lost to a rhythm no one comprehends,
Moving through a maze without the fears.
Her smile—half-formed, like dreams unseen,
Echoes of laughter, faint and thin.
She doesn’t care where she’s never been,
In her own quiet orbit, still serene.
The world around her shifts and spins,
While she’s adrift, a star alone.
Never knowing where she's meant to go,
In this grand design she never wins.
And yet, she stirs no envy, draws no scorn,
Her strangeness soft, like a forgotten breeze.
An alien among us, yet strangely at ease,
A gentle soul the world has not yet worn.
So let her wander through her aimless way,
Untouched by rules she cannot see.
In her quiet, drifting reverie,
She’s free in ways we’ll never be.
