More Than Just Myself

Box In The Sky
August 5, 2024Healing Earth
In the heart of Earth's green embrace,
Where forests sway in silent grace,
A tale unfolds, both old and new,
Of how we humans, oft askew,
Have tread with heavy steps and haste,
Leaving scars, a bitter taste.
Oceans vast, once clear and blue,
Now wear a cloak of plastic hue,
Mountains high, with peaks so grand,
Bear the marks of human hand.
The rivers whisper tales of woe,
Of toxins' flow and icebergs' slow
Retreat, a cry from nature's core,
Pleading, "Stop, I can't take more."
Yet, in the wake of our mistakes,
Science rises, healing makes.
With minds alight, we forge a path,
To mend the wounds, to still Earth's wrath.
Green energy from wind and sun,
New hope for waters, clean and run.
Technology, a double-edged sword,
Can build anew, not just discord.
We cleanse the skies, we tend the trees,
We heal the land, we calm the seas.
But Mother Earth, with wearied sigh,
Still longs for days of clear blue sky.
She yearns for peace, a restful night,
Free from the scars of human blight.
In her soft soil, in every leaf,
She seeks a moment, brief relief.
For in her heart, a simple plea,
"Let me heal, let me be."
So as we strive, let's heed her call,
For balance found will save us all.
In harmony, with gentle hand,
We can restore this precious land.
With wisdom, love, and true respect,
Our planet's wounds we can correct.
For in the dance of life and light,
Together we can make it right.
A world where nature's songs resound,
And peace on Earth at last is found.
