Forgotten Concepts

In world politics today
Extremes seem to hold sway
Left or right, black or white
No middle ground, no grey in sight

In this age of polarizing views
Moderation is something we lose
The loudest voices, the strongest brand
The ones who truly understand?

But maybe we should take a step back
And listen to what others have to say
Maybe we can find some common ground
And a much better way

For in this world of endless division
We need some unity, some cohesion
We're all just people, trying to live
Let's try to find a way to forgive

So let's put aside our pride and ego
And listen to each other, don't you know?
We might just find that we're not so different
And that's a trend worth following, don't you think?
