Right Now

The world is a complex tapestry,
A weave of sorrow and joy,
Of beauty and ugliness,
Of power and destruction.

We look around us,
And see the world in turmoil,
War and conflict,
Rage and despair.

We see people suffering,
In poverty and in pain,
We see them struggling,
To survive another day.

We see the environment,
Being destroyed,
Forests cut down,
Air and water polluted.

We see hate and division,
Racism and bigotry,
We see fear and anger,
Driving people apart.

We see the powerful,
Exploiting the weak,
We see corruption and greed,
Ruling over all.

But amidst all this darkness,
There is light.

There are people,
Working to make a change,
Fighting for justice,
For peace and equality.

There are those,
Who are fighting to protect,
Our planet and its creatures,
From harm and destruction.

There are those,
Who are working to bring,
People together,
To heal the wounds of division.

We must remember,
That we have the power,
To make a difference,
To shape the world we live in.

We must not be afraid,
To speak out against wrong,
To stand up for what is right,
To make our voices heard.

We must not be complacent,
In the face of suffering,
We must work to alleviate,
The pain of those around us.

We must not give in,
To despair and hopelessness,
For as long as there is life,
There is still the possibility of change.

Let us strive,
To make the world a better place,
For ourselves,
For our children,
For all who call this earth home.
